We enjoy what we do, so keep up to date and follow us on Facebook at ‘Syne Hills Residential Home Skegness’.
Skegness, Cycling Without Age
Syne Hills has supported and keeps close links within our community and has special relationships with a local charitable group who offer tricycle rides out to those who would otherwise be unable to feel ‘the wind in their hair’.
Skegness Cycling Without Age raised funds locally to buy their own specialist Trishaw bicycle enabling them to take local residents out for a trip. One of Syne Hills Directors, Christopher is a newly trained CWA volunteer ‘Pilot’ and has already taken several of our residents out for trips using this brand new initiative. 100% financed and supported by local people and promoted by our Town Mayor, Jolly Fisherman, Town Crier and multiple local businesses this project has grown beyond anyone’s hopes. It is already providing wonderful opportunities for many who simply would not be able to experience the exhilaration of being out on a bicycle! ... and by the sea side.
A Day Out to the Tea Rooms
Syne Hills are renowned for it’s many ‘Residents Outings’ and trips around the town and local area.
We try to make the most of the better weather and have so far been out to Skegness Tea Rooms, The View in Winthorpe and The Storehouse restaurant and coffee shop on North Parade. Nothing quite beats loading up our own Minibus and getting out for the afternoon. Of course it wouldn’t be the same without enjoying a cuppa and cream cakes whilst we’re out!
Our belief at Syne Hills is that ‘An active mind is a happy heart’, so activity of any form is encouraged.
We love to celebrate any occasion, but we all enjoy a bit of live entertainment and music, our favourite duo being ‘The Dream Belles’ who even dress up for 1940’s or stunning outfits for their famous ABBA tribute set.
